In the past couple weeks, we have sent out notices informing you of some big changes coming to nearly all major web browsers on July 1st that directly affect you and your website(s). To be clear, regardless of the type of website you have, browsers will begin listing all sites without an SSL Certificate installed as Not Secure on July 1st.

What is happening?
This year, Google, Mozilla, and other internet companies have embarked on a mission to make insecure HTTP a thing of the past. Major browsers such as Google Chrome, Apple Safari and others have already begun actively telling users that HTTP is not secure, and with every update they release, the warnings are becoming more and more prominent. Eventually these companies plan to mark all HTTP sites as non-secure.

Why is it happening?
Websites without an SSL certificate are not secure. Your customer's data has a much higher chance of being compromised via an HTTP website. Therefore, Google and other companies are making these changes to protect consumers; recognizing that online security is absolutely essential.  In fact, websites that ignore the need for an SSL will begin being flagged by Google as Not Secure; having their search rankings heavily affected.

What you need to do:
You need to secure your website with an SSL certificate before July 1st to avoid Google and major web browsers from flagging your website as Not Secure
